Unveiling of newly acquired Ty Cobb Memorabilia

On November 20, 2015 the Ty Cobb Museum hosted a Candle Light Reception to unveil a newly acquired collection of Ty Cobb Memorabilia.  This reception was in honor of those friends of the museum that had made substantial contributions to the musuem over the years.

Did You Know?

Cobb was diagnosed in the Fall of 1959 with cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and Brights Disease (a degenerative kidney disorder). By Spring of 1961, Cobb spent most of his time at Emory University Hospital for cobalt treatments to stop the spread of cancer which had since moved to his spine and skull.
