The Ty Cobb Museum to Close Temporarily during the COVID-19 Outbreak
The Ty Cobb Museum is closely monitoring the latest developments regarding the COVID-10 Novel Coronavirus outbreak. The pandemic details are changing moment by moment. Due to those changes, and the latest recommendations of the CDC, the Ty Cobb Museum will remain closed to the public. We plan to re-open on Monday, May 4, 2020. At the time of reopening, our hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
There have not been any reports cases of the virus at the museum with guests or staff, but we are compelled to follow the best practices for social distancing as outlined by various government agencies and the World Health Organization to ensure the well-being of our community and our staff.
The Ty Cobb Museum email will be monitored daily (firstname.lastname@example.org). You may also obtain more information by following us on our Facebook page, or on our website.
The Ty Cobb Museum will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions as needed regarding additional measures.
Georgia Legends Concert: John Berry - Cancelled
Royston, GA: After careful consultation with the agent of John Berry, and under current order of the Governor of Georgia concerning live performance venues, the Ty Cobb Museum has made the difficult decision to cancel the John Berry Concert scheduled for June 27, 2020.
Following current CDC recommendations and state guidelines, and considering the safety of our guests, we felt this was the best way to proceed at this time. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our fans and supporters, as well as fans and supporters of John Berry and special guest The Country River Band.
